Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and music producer. Her mom raised her in the USA and she was subject to numerous racial slurs that made her feel like an unwanted person. Then, when she was 23, her movie debut was You've Got Mail. The role in The lad from The Lake became her biggest success, and earned herself the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her role. Her fame grew for her appearance on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. A well-known performer, she has also recorded an album and a musical. In addition, she's an activist who works hard for LGBT rights.
