Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). Her first television roles were two appearances in the role of Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. However, her parents did not let her perform until she reached the age of adulthood, for fear of the effects stress would have on their daughter. Perry she was shy to be a part of the theater in her school, began performing in theater classes at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new friends. Perry managed to get small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. However, her homesickness brought her to California again where she began working on stage. She performed on Broadway in The Other Place with her mother in the year 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning play Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in the ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. Her father played her character in The ABC drama Scandal. In the same year, she appeared as a younger version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother in a youthful version. Despite having a family connection to the character she got the part through an audition.
